Solar Eclipse Viewing Event & ODS Lunch

Where: Amity Elementary School Playground

When: August 21, 2017

Time: 8:30am - 1:00pm

Why: To learn about and watch the Total Solar Eclipse!

Who: Students of Amity Elementary School & Parents 

What to Expect: The eclipse begins at approximately 9:05am and ends at approximately 11:37am.  Totality begins at 10:17 and ends at 10:19.  Viewing glasses must be worn to view the eclipse.  There will be a solar eclipse activity book available to the first 125 kids (K-5) that arrive.  There will also be eclipse viewing glasses available. 

Prizes will be given to the best three "Head in a Box Pinhole Projectors."  Not only do they have to look good, the pinhole projector must work.

ODS Lunch: Begins at 11:00 and features hamburgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings.  Cost for lunch is $5 per person or $20 per family.
